HAHA! It is so subtle that I wonder if anyone else sees it.
Weirdly, I make a point of choosing what side to face outwards depending where I am. Don't ask me the logic as to where and who gets the butt and who doesn't. I don't understand it, it is a vibe.
You only need an hour of chaos a day? I need all of the hours. They're all chaos.
In my defense that's because we have 4 furballs and they're all chaos. My chaos mostly involves me knocking stuff over. Like my drinks. I had to clean drinks uo teice yesterday. That's how you can tell I was in extra pain and/or had extra tremors - me swearing at myself as I use up kitchen roll to clean up my giant messes. Or sometimes me totally frozen in panic while Cuddles does it (I have childhood trauma stuff, but I'm better than I used to be).
I somehow manage to lose clothes. No idea how. They just kinda...vanish. From the house. I have specific places I put stuff, and I'll be looking for something where it should be, and won't be there or anywhere else! I never lost clothes before I gained a Cuddles, 3 cats, and a dog. So it's clearly their fault somehow 😁
My faves change anyway depending on my mood, the weather, and how my current lack of gender is feeling, so it's only when something I have an attachment to goes missing that I sigh - but still, it's only a thing and there are always more Things.
Anyway my current fave item is my new baseball cap (because I...lost my other two somewhere in the house). It's like a sea blue colour, with a bear paw print on the front, coloured in with the Bear Pride flag stripes 🐻
B) I like to think there is a secret place in your house only your furballs know about and they have a REALLY cool set up, like a little clubhouse, and it's just all the things they've stolen from you HAHA! It would be so cute!
We do tend to blame the furballs 😁 There's a weird thing whete we find one thing we lost, just for something else to disappear. This happens regularly. We just blame Monster for it.
I love this! And I guarantee all the pictures I sent to my future husband when we were pen-paling were about making my boobs look great. I fear my wardrobe (I did do a cull recently) is blundstones and stretchy pants. x
I want to know more about the magpie attracting dress!
I have one of my favourite pieces of clothing on my bed at the moment - an oversized rain coat I found at the local second hand shop several years ago - it was good enough to rain for a few days ago and I grabbed the opportunity to wear it out - it's too big, but I don't care, that's what the belt is for and who needs their hands to stick out at the bottom of a sleeve while walking around anyway? Have to pop it back into the closet this evening, where it can wait the next rain...
Ooooh I love the sound of this! What colour is it? I also think that keeping your hands covered makes it all the more practical for keeping you dry in the rain. Lovely!
The dress is shiny, but only as you swish when you walk in certain light. So the crows of Vancouver would want it for their own, I think. The swishing motion was an invitation, and at the time of my leaving I was yet to convince them I was a friend not enemy so it was high stress! HAHA! Now I am back Down Under I realis it has the same effect on the magpies, but I have made friends with them faster thankfully.
I love the idea of your dress mesmerizing crows and magpies.
My rain coat is beige, which would be boring, except that I have a fondness for classic noir stuff, so I love the fact that I have a rain coat a noir hero might wear. And I accessorize with a bright red or purple umbrella, unless I'm going weird and donning my big wide-brimmed rain-repellent black hat...
I’ve seen you work your magical skills at luggage …and outfits …and packing….and culling…and choosing…and repacking …and the completion of all the colours of the rainbow being catered for in the bag & on the body too! Real life meet up’s really cement virtual meet ups for life 🥰 You are indeed on the pulse & a trendsetter Lauren with your wardrobe on the move while smiling your way through the joy of being a very cool, chique & extremely organised fashionista! I tip my hat to your hat & smile at those final days in VC.
Well done on delivering another wonderful piece of writing. Quirky, funky & so well crafted, just like your Mary poppins luggage 👌✨
Aw, thank you Lou! It means so much that you've seen the madness of the cull in action and you can appreciate it this way. The disco pants will always make me think of us dancing out hearts out 🧡🧡🧡
I love that each item of clothing you chose to keep has special meaning and/or a specific reason why you own it. ♥️
Also, I remember the post with the leopard print summer dress! Did you wear it on your trip to LA?
Thank you so much, I love that too 🧡
I did wear it there! It is a crowd favourite hehe xx
Your wardrobe reminds me of me at your age—years later it’s nice to see how timeless it is. I would like to hear more on the butt handbag lol

Oh this is all a VIBE! Yes VT! I love these outfits I am picturing so much!
Adding to wish list: big wide-brimmed rain-repellent black hat.
