Australian flora amazes me. I missed it so much while I lived abroad. (So much so, that I dedicated half of an arm to some of my favourites). When I was in Perth, I learned of some of the flowers that only exist in Western Australia and I wanted them all in my future garden.

I am so happy to be back home that I have been quietly obsessing over natives that are ever so common and on every street, but still feel magic to me because I missed them so much. Bottlebrush flowers and Gumleaf flowers are catching my eye and having me examine all the parts for many minutes at a time.
I’d say hibiscus is my long term love but the Casablanca lily I fell in love with this summer is occupying my heart. What’s yours?
