I want to go to there! Thanks for the reminder to slow down, my friend. Love the pics! And now that you have a cowboy hat, you need to come to Montana.
I have been resisting audio forever it seems. Audiobooks, podcasts and the recent addition of the voice recording feature on various substacks for mainly stupid reasons: written words are better than those spoken (judgmental much?); my mind drifts unless I’m actually reading; old habits; getting old; change in general. This morning I decided to listen, hoping your spoken words and calming voice would give me a new perspective. It was a monumental experience! My whole attitude and outlook on life changed 😉. In the span of ten minutes, you captured moods, mindsets, unrealized truths, sense of place and the overriding need to live slowly. Stay in today.
I get this peace each summer when I return to the solitude of my old childhood farmhouse on a small island in Maine. Here is where I create. Here is where I wind down. Here is life unplanned and loose. Cheers to your left coast epiphanies!
Oh Amie this is the highest of compliments. I cannot thank you enough for taking the time to listen and to share this feedback with me. This is the exact energy I needed going into Monday and I so appreciate you 🧡🧡 here's to staying in the today and endless summer joy and peace for us both.
Absolutely brilliant writing and audio LD. We were all with you every step of the way and by the end of the piece, I not only wanted more, I didn't want to leave Half Moon either! Thanks so much for taking us on your trip. PS. Princess Buttercup - what a name! A cat with a personality I'm sure! ;)
Loved reading your story from this week. Really powerful and relaxing to read as well! I think it's great that we can listen to it too! How brilliant. 👏 Learning to slow down and enjoy each moment is surprisingly challenging but definitely worth the reward.
Thank you so much, Cathy 🧡🧡 "a song of summer" is music to my ears (or eyes I suppose as I read it) but nonetheless I am very grateful for this comment.

ON MY WAY TO YOU NOW! 🧡 thanks so much for reading x
Please don't tease me like that!
Unless you are serious? Are you?
Haha one day I will be for sure! x

Very challenging! But very rewarding! You are not wrong. Thank you so much for reading (or listening) 🧡🧡
Love the photographs and honestly, ice cream flavours...it's a hard life!
Why can't everything be this simple, you know? Hehe 🧡🧡
What a wonderful and relaxing time. When you write about rest I feel like I got to be there with you and rest too. You’re so good at this!
Ahhh this is so wonderful for me to read, thank you! I am so glad I got to send my restful vibes your way my friend 🧡🧡
Agree with Susannah. Beautiful essay. A song of summer.

Beautiful! This read like a lullaby!
Thank you so much for saying that. I don't think I have ever felt this relaxed in my adult life so I am glad it came through the writing 🧡
So glad I could take you away to the ocean with me for the time you were reading 🧡🧡
